The Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel Unveils The Newly Refurbished Christleton Suite

The 4* Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel has unveiled the impressively bigger and brighter Christleton Suite following a major refurbishment and rebuild. The modern function room can now sit up to 240 people for weddings and banquets, or 300 guests for a theatre style conference or standing event.

The major restyling project included the removal of walls to extend capacity, as well as enhancing the stunning 2-acre views of the landscaped gardens and Cheshire countryside behind the hotel, now flooding the Suite with natural light throughout the day.  Other additions include trendy chandeliers hung across the room and a contemporary new blue and grey Farrow & Ball colour scheme.

General Manager of the Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel Bethan Johnston commented, We are delighted to welcome both long-standing and new guests to the newly refurbished Christleton Suite. The modern new look, inspired by Chester’s beautiful architecture brings light and space and complements the landscaped gardens perfectly. I believe we have created the perfect event space or wedding venue that will rival any in the North West of England”.

The Suite has also been re-named the ‘Christleton Suite’ to pay homage to the historic local village in which the hotel is set. Other locally inspired features include new Chester themed artwork throughout and a bespoke mural in the event room entrance.

The refurbishment project has also been extended to the public areas and the smaller conference rooms to be in keeping with the new look Suite.  As well as a general re-fresh, the smaller conference rooms now feature artwork capturing famous landmarks across Liverpool, just 30 minutes away from the hotel.

Our Charity Partner

Mercure Chester, Abbots Well Hotel Supports Rays of Sunshine

Mercure Chester, Abbots Well Hotel are delighted to announce their new charity partner this year is Rays of Sunshine, www.raysofsunshine.org.uk, a UK registered children’s charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill children aged 3 to 18 by granting their wishes, granting hospital ward wishes and organising large scale events.

Our aim is to raise £2000 in the first year of the partnership to fund magical wishes for brave and deserving children and to do that WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Every day of the year Rays of Sunshine gives brave and deserving young people the chance to put their illness on hold and enjoy a moment of escape. Over 6,000 individual wishes have been granted since the charity was set up in 2003. Wishes can be as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a princess or a fireman for the day, go to Disneyland in Paris, visit Santa in Lapland, own an iPad, meet a favourite celebrity or even a ‘real life’ mermaid, Rays of Sunshine works hard to make that wish come true.

Rays of Sunshine also grants ward wishes, which offer a distraction to hundreds of children during their time in hospital or a hospice. Events and outings are held throughout the year for large groups of seriously ill children including trips to theme parks, hospital activity/pamper days and parties.

We hope you will all GET INVOLVED and support our partnership so we can reach our £2000 target and grant magical wishes for brave and deserving children.  Please ask at reception about how you can support our partnership.
