Are you responsible for organising your school prom? Does the thought of it leave you wondering where to start? We know it can be daunting organising a large event, particularly when there may be exams going on too.

Here are some top tips to help keep you calm, and get you on your way for a prom to remember:

First things first. How many people will be coming to prom? Knowing how many people to cater for can help you select a suitable event venue that can accommodate everyone.

Do you have a date in mind? This is important, as you’re probably tying in prom with the end of exams, so will have a specific date you’re looking for. Check with your chosen venue that it’s available, and book it as soon as possible.

Food options will need to be considered. Looking for a formal setting, or a light buffet? It’s likely with a large number of guests you’ll have specific dietary or allergy requirements that will need to be accommodated. Check with your chosen venue that they can help; the Chef should be able to advise of any allergens, and provide alternative dishes to cater for all.
